Expose Your Client List

Research shows that prospects often check your company out pretty thoroughly before even requesting a quote from you.  Most will visit your website and look for a “Client List”, to see what types of companies you have worked for and the quality of your product or service.  They want information that will tell them you have the credentials and experience in working with firms like theirs.

Things to consider when adding a Client List to your website or blog:

Do not just list your customers alphabetically by company name.  You need to organize your list by market or industry; this gives the prospect a way to quickly scan your site for like companies you have done work for.

To step it up even more you should show actual samples of the work you have done and add a testimonial from the customer.  You can provide a link back to your customer’s website in exchange for the positive testimonial.

This is a relatively easy way to give your business an edge over a competitor that does not list their clients.

I have just started this process with the “Customer Showcase” section of this blog.  Still have to figure out a system to get testimonials and list then, but think this is a great strategy.
