I never cold call, but I do love the classic patented Call Call Flip!
Monday seems to be the day I get the most cold calls – I try to be polite, listen then let the caller down easy telling them I don’t have a need for their product or service at this time.
Then the FLIP – I ask how the Cold Calling is working out for them? Then have you every used Promotional Products? Then see where the conversation leads.
Today, I hit a home run on the 2nd cold caller – a container company (they sell boxes and shipping supplies) – after the Cold Call Flip, the caller said “You know I did see a Pen made of recycled material that looked like a box and thought that would be a unique item to give out to my prospects and clients.”
So I quoted the pen he was looking for via email – not sure if it will lead to a sale, but I have his name, address, email and phone number to follow up with.
